does post production have copy right?
I’m not saying the easy ones, but the complicated ones. like those big posters in the streets, the movies like “Lord of the Rings”/”Matrix” or like when people replace note by note, word by word, adding sound distortions, etc. in CDs for singers. When technologies are improving, and post production does more and more (and increasingly important), is there a copyright for post production?
That’s cool~ But from what I know, the moment you create a piece of work, it’s copyrighted. So if you took a picture, and you send it off to post production to the point that it does not represent the original work, or the original piece only showed in a small part of the final work, does the original person still keeps the copyright? Is this called as a collaboration?
The works are copyrighted at every step of development, as what are known as derivative works. The owner of the original copyright owns the derivative work, unless the right to create a derivative work or the specific derivative work has been licensed to someone else.

The latest poster for Sngmoo Lee’s “The Warrior’s Way” looks suspiciously like a previously released poster, but with Kate Bosworth and Geoffrey Rush photoshopped in for, one presumes, domestic consumption since I’m pretty sure no one knows who star Dong-gun Jan is in the States. Lazy? Sure. But Kate looks nice in it. Geoffrey is okay, too, I guess, if you’re into crabby looking old sailor-type dudes.
